Cleared System Engineer II (w/ 14-19 yrs exper) w/ TS/SCI poly clearance

Requires TS/SCI with Poly Clearance


Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.  
Five (5) years of additional SE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. 


Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SE/HW Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.


This position will require wireless experience  and  telephony engineering in addition to strong hands-on engineering skills.


This position is a hands on System Engineering position support a mission critical system.  The candidate will be involved in all aspects of system support, including requirements management, data management and analysis, system testing, and support to users.


Strong hardware background required to integrate, optimize, and test next generation hardware into future system deployments.  Hardware Includes but is not limited to: Dell servers, NVidia GPUs, network interface cards, network switches, and optical recorders. 


Support hardware integration efforts for software development team tasks may include:

  •  Testing various hardware configurations and bios setting on next Generation Dell servers
  •  Optimize optical switching to test servers
  •  Configure and maintain network switch to support lab efforts
  •  Maintain 20-30 racks of equipment
  •  Rack and cable new hardware as needed
  •  Support lab management duties
  •  Provide hardware recommendations for next generation hardware procurement
  •  Hardware Includes but is not limited to: Dell servers, NVidia GPUs, network interface cards, network switches, and optical recorders.


Desired Skills:

Sourcing for an SE2 resource for the Integration Team.  SE1 level will also be considered, but must have the strong Kubernetes background (3+ years).
  • Strong (3+ years) Kubernetes installation and experience (Rancher/RKE/K3S based is preferred)
  • Experience with large OpenSearch installations
  • Troubleshoot distributed applications
  • NiFi
  • Salt for configuration management
  • Helm charts
  • GIT
  • Influx/Prometheus/Grafana experience
  • Experience with KKafka distributed event store and stream processing platform
  • Ceph storage platform
